Experiences to enjoy with the little ones in our villages, our coast, our mountains, our walks, our museums...
The Arditurri Greenway is a great route to do as a family on foot or pedaling.
The route is 7 kilometres long, with very little gradient and can be started from Lezo, Errenteria, Pasaia or even from Donostia-San Sebastián as it is connected to its bike path. If you don't have a bike, you can rent one here.
Along the Greenway you will find the following museums that you can visit: the Arditurri Mines, Soinuenea – Popular Music Center and Luberri, geological interpretation centre. If you want to take advantage of the opportunity to eat, you will find several restaurants-picnic areas with great terraceshere.
The Arditurri mine has been exploited since Roman times, 2000 years ago.
We suggest you take a guided tour into some of its underground galleries, some intact since Roman times, and others that contain vestiges from later times.
The walk inside the mine takes place in a magical atmosphere created by the light and sound effects that have been installed in the tunnels.
At Soinuenea, Traditional Music Center we can find an exhibition of more than 400 musical instruments.
Among them, we will not only find instruments from Euskal Herria, but also instruments from all continents of the world that we can listen to live.
Every month they also organize workshops and activities aimed at families, check out the upcoming ones here.
We suggest you visit Luberri, the geological interpretation centre in Oiartzun,, where an interactive screen will allow you to take a virtual flight over the region, flying over Aiako Harria, the Oiartzun valley and Jaizkibel.
Here we can learn how the current relief of the landscape around us was formed and contemplate the curious collection of fluorescent minerals, among others.
Two horse riding centers in the region, one in Errenteria and the other in Oiartzun, offer you horseback riding and spending unique moments in nature with your family.

Admission to this museum is free and can be visited on the second weekend of every month, and on the third weekend it usually organises a different activity, so we recommend that you check our agenda.
Outside the mill there are several playgrounds where the little ones in the house can have a great time.
In this fort from the late 19th century, we can enjoy privileged views of the entire coast and surrounding mountains.
In addition, on weekends or holidays from April to June and September, we can access the fort museum and see replicas of soldiers and cannons from that time or book a guided tour for children.
In July and August, the hours are extended from Wednesday to Sunday.
Outside the fort there is a field with a children's play area (imitating a castle) and a space with tables, ideal for spending the day.
With the Mater Ecoactive Museum Boat we will immerse ourselves in the marine world by getting to know a traditional tuna boat.
Also, what do you think about becoming sailors for a day? The plan is to spend a day like real sailors, enjoying the seafaring and fishing culture in different ways.
The Mater Ecoactive Museum Boat also offers you many other options, such as trips to the sea in the Mater itself or, for example, a workshop on artisanal fish preservation.
We suggest you visit one of the most visited museums in Gipuzkoa: Albaola Itsas Kultur Faktoria
This old shipyard revives the tradition of shipbuilding that has been carried out throughout Basque maritime history. They are currently working on the reconstruction before the public of the replica of the 16th century whale ship,
the San Juan ship. The youngest members of the family will be able to learn about the value of maritime heritage and Basque maritime history from the image of the cabin boy Txo Mik Mak txikia, as well as other workshops.
Pasaia Bay has a unique beauty, and we can sail through it in the boat you like best:
a classic sailboat from 1927, a motorboat that offers boat trips through Pasaia Bay with or without a guide, or a pleasure boat with which you can go on ecotourism, nautical leisure and fishing trips.
Any of the options are ideal for families. And if you have a captain's license, you can rent a boat and go on a family outing in the direction you want.
The municipal Sports Centre of Pasai Donibane offers a canoe and paddle surf rental service, and the Pasaia Kayak canoeing club also offers canoe trips, always with an instructor.
Go ahead and do it with your family, doing exercise and having fun at the same time.
We will bring out our explorer instinct and set out in search of the 19th century Carlist towers of Jaizkibel.
Nowadays, you can still see 5 towers on the summit. To get there by car, you can take the GI-3440 road until you reach the summit, park your car, and start the route from tower to tower.
The route from here is not difficult at all, and you can follow the signs for the Camino de Santiago that pass by these towers.
