Here you will find some easy routes to do with children in our region:
1. LEZO-ALTAMIRA-BORDATXO ROUTE
This 3.4 km easy route can be done by foot or by bike. It passes through the Altamira district of Lezo and crosses typical Atlantic countryside meadows, where the most important farmhouses such as Darietazarra and Miura are concentrated. A pleasant walk that is recommended for everyone.
We start the route at the Bekoerrota sports centre in Lezo. Continue along the cycle path that runs alongside the road and past the children's playground, cross the GI-3440 road and go up Auñamendi street through Karlos Saldise square. When you see the Pasaia-Lezo-Lizeoa building on the right, take the path that runs alongside it. From here, following the red signs, we follow this route through the slopes of the southern part of Jaizkibel, crossing the surroundings of old farmhouses. The remains of old animal trails and the Plataiturri fountain stand out.
The route that we propose below is part of the approved routes PR-GI1003 and PR-GI 1004, within the Aiako Harria Nature Park. We will start this beautiful walk from the parking placed next to the Idoia farmhouse (Susperregi restaurant), until we reach the wetland of Malbazar. The round trip is about 3 km long. Once we arrive at the Malbazar wetland, we can learn about the fauna and biodiversity to be found there. The return will be by the same route.
The park of Lau Haizeta perfectly combines nature and heritage. The walk that we propose will immerse us completely in this environment. To make this easy approved route (SL-GI 4) of just 3 km, we will go to Zamalbide district of Errenteria, and from there we will follow the path marked with white and green lines. On the way we will find the dolmen of Aitzetako Txabala. And also, very close to there we will also find the Forts of San Marcos and Txoritokieta, as well as the monolith of Txoritokieta. If we continue walking to the Fort of San Marcos, we can visit its museum during the high season. The way up there is very easy, following a paved road and then following the marks of the SL-GI 3 trail, we will soon find the Fort. There we can also find a children's playground and a recreational area.
The mount of Arramendi is the closest natural space around the center of Errenteria. It has an altitude of approximately 80 meters and it can be reached from the Errenteria Tourist Office, although there are two other entrances to the park: from the Gaztaño or Pontika neighborhoods. During the Carlist Wars, there was a fortress on the summit of this hill, although now we can only appreciate the remains. While we enjoy the views from the top, we can recharge our batteries and have a break on the benches and tables that we find there.
Holding the map in your hands, you will have to follow this game of clues to test your orientation and complete the route. There are four different routes of different length and difficulty beginning from the recreational area of Barrengoloia (Errenteria), within the Natural Park of Aiako Harria. Immerse yourself in this unique adventure! You can get these maps at the Tourist Office of Errenteria or download them to your phone.

The following proposal leads us to the seashore. We will begin the route in the parking lot of the Bizkaia district of Pasai Donibane. We will cross the cobbled street that crosses the old town with the traditional bridge-houses and historic buildings that composes it. From the Church of Bonanza the ride leads us to the entrance of the Bay of Pasaia, where we can admire the cliffs that are on both sides of the mouth. At the end of the way, we find the Alabortza creek, where we can rest and enjoy the scenery, to continue back the same way we came.
There are 6 different routes available: 2 in Pasai Donibane, 2 in Pasai Antxo and 2 in Pasai San Pedro-Trintxerpe. The difficulty level, length and accumulated slope of the routes in each district are different; some are lighter and others are harder. We will pass near the sea, streams and cross various paths through the mountains. All you have to do is interpret the downloaded map and look for the different points to follow the route.

Although the route that we suggest is a bit longer than the previous proposals, it is very easy to do it by foot or by bicycle. It has very little slope and if you prefer, you can start at any intermediate point of the route. Walking along the course of the Oiartzun River, the path will lead us to the side of Aiako Harria Nature Park, to finish in the Arditurri Mining Land. On the way we will also find several restaurants and very close to the green way we can also visit two other museums of the village (Soinuenea and Luberri).
In this approved tour of 3.3 km (SL-Gi 1007), we will approach to the Arditurri Mine Land (Oiartzun). From this point, we will follow the white and green marks of this circular route that allows us to know a singular mining scenery. You can feel like an explorer and discover the entrances of abandoned mines, as well as look for minerals along the way. Along the way you will pass through a canal and several small waterfalls and water pools.
The following route leads us to one of the most beautiful places in our region: Oieleku. To get there, we will take the road that starts in the Altzibar neighborhood of Oiartzun on the way to Artikutza (GI-3631) and about 12.5 km further on, we will reach the Kauso parking lot. Once here, we will leave the car and cross the road to take the path that we find in front of us, following the white and yellow signs) of the approved route (PR GI-1006). In about 2 km, we will soon reach the Oieleku cromlech, the best place to explore our ancestors!

(photo: https://sites.google.com/site/beloagagaztelua/gaztelua )
Starting form the traffic circle of Gurutze district in Oiartzun, follow the road to Arkale district and 20 meters to the right we will take a concrete track. In 5 minutes we will find the stele of Andrearriaga on our left. We will enter the forest and follow the red signpost which lead us to a bunkers and we will arrive to the remains of the ancient medieval castle of Beloaga.
13. SL-GI 1004 ELORRIETA CIRCUIT
This circular approved circuit (S-GI 1004) starts in the area of Sorondo and take us to the beautiful landscapes of Aiako Harria Nature Park. On the way, we will be able to see the hermitage of Ozentzio and the cromlech located in the summit of Elorrieta.
